DINER RECEIPT

RECEIPT NUMBER: ACIB04

RECEIPT DATE: 9 9 19XX

MANAGER TITLE: MON AMOUR

RECEIPT NOTES:

Okay! I think I’ve got it! It’s probably simpler than we’ve been making it out to be. To properly serve Mr. Perez, we need to tempt him with more than just food. Sure, he pops in for a quick bite like any living thing would, but this Mr. Perez isn’t drawn by the temptation of gluttony—he’s lured in by the glimmer and gleam of avaricious greed. For him, that means pampering, just as he’d expect to be treated back home in Ottawa.

So instead of trying to hook him with a hearty, goat-filled breakfast, we should focus on comfort. Think: a cool breeze, a soft blanket, an even softer pillow, and service on a silver platter. Real silver too—I have no doubt Mr. Perez could sniff out fake metal just as easily as his master. So far, he’s been dining and dashing, and I highly doubt he’d pay for our service even if he could afford it. But I’m hoping if we create an atmosphere that feels decadent enough, we can sway the greedy little thing.

Once we’ve got Mr. Perez all nice and comfy, that’s when I can, as mon amour so cleverly coined, “book him a flight home.” Normally, booking a flight to Ottawa would involve finding an airport that travels there, but luckily, as an heir of Ottawa myself, I can charter a private flight to any of my siblings’ subregions with little effort. Of course, I’m not technically allowed to enter my siblings’ subregions without their explicit permission, but I doubt there’d be any harm in sending a lost customer back their way. Though I am hoping we don’t draw too much attention from my brother… we already deal with each other often enough as neighboring regions, and personally, I’d prefer to keep that to a minimum.
