I just heard about a huge fight that broke out between the Cafe No Diner and the Open Doors Church. Some welcome back, huh? I’ve hardly had time to settle back in, and the coffee is already hitting the mug. I guess I should be grateful it wasn’t a fight between us and the Open Doors Church or the Cafe No Diner. Still, we could probably go without unnecessary bad vibes, yeah? And, if the rumors I’ve heard are true… these are some seriously bad vibes. I doubt we’ll be able to avoid getting involved in this drama—friend of a friend, and all that.
I don’t know how the fight started exactly, but based on what we know and what #62 and #44 have been able to recover from that disk, I think it had to do with S.V. and Mrs. Aka’s beef. However, the fight clearly wasn’t limited to just those two. From what Mr. Trigano heard, Mrs. Pleasant was hurt. Seriously hurt like critical life-threatening injuries hurt. I guess Mrs. Middletown will be excited to hear that, and if Mrs. Pleasant is unable to pull through, it might just spell the closing of the Open Doors Church.
Mm… then again, that greatly discounts how powerful Padre is. Yes, Mrs. Pleasant has often been his right-hand woman, and if she succumbs to whatever injuries the Cafe No Diner were able to inflict on her, it will deal a huge blow to Padre’s congregation. Still, I don’t think that alone could topple his place as head of his parish. It would probably force him to pack up and head back to the Great White North to fully deal with Mrs. Pleasant and Mrs. Middletown’s usurping father. So… fingers crossed that she doesn’t pull through? Sounds kind of rough, but I’m sure she wouldn’t wish any better of us.
