Tab Paid for HWL care of #26
Mrs. Boone's tab was paid yesterday evening, and she flew home to Ottawa at 5 o'clock. Her service was largely unremarkable, if a bit fishy. She certainly preferred to take her coffee on quite a long walk, but it was nice to spend some time outdoors. Though, as expected, just as we were wrapping up and Mrs. Boone was on her way out, Mrs. Middletown decided to attempt to provide her own service. She's so self-absorbed. However, with some unexpected help, I was still able to get Mrs. Boone home safe and sound.
I received a slight bite during the altercation with Mrs. Middletown, but it could've been worse. I can't say the same for my guardian angel… he took the worst of Mrs. Middletown's abuse. He's okay, though. Well, he's stable, at least. And at least Mrs. Middletown was scared off. I'm going to spend a few days, maybe a week or two, tending to my savior's injuries and making sure he's fit for flight again. Seeing as he's not in any shape for travel, we'll have to stay here in the Aux Arcs. Of course, if something urgent comes up in Long Beach, just let me know. He can take care of himself… but…
Well! Let's move on from that, yeah? While he hasn't been up for chatting yet, I did catch a bit of their spat last night. As we've already noticed, some serious tensions are brewing between our customers. Two sides of the same coin, though. For whatever reason, it's not exactly a family-sided affair. You'd think it'd be one side of cousins against the other… but Mrs. Middletown seems to have serious beef with her sister Mrs. Pleasant, despite both being from the same house. Maybe once my savior is up for conversation, I can get a better idea of what is happening between the Houses of Seth.
