Hope everything is going well back in L.A. Things in and around the Hot Bed are… strange following the death of Dr. Crow and—and, well, Hamilton. Without Hamilton, without the conservator of the Hot Bed, there has definitely been a noticeable uptick in customers in the area. I’ve seen multiple relatives of Mr. Grafton, Mr. Frederick is losing his already loose mind, Mrs. Boone has been spotted accosting tourists, and I’ve heard a few whispers that Mr. Cold has started reappearing in the area. No signs of Mrs. Pleasant, though I assume, she’s still hanging around the Church back home.
Though things have become quite hectic in the Hot Bed without Hamilton, I’m more worried about the effect Dr. Crow’s death has had on the area. For the most part, the Hot Bed has its own hierarchy, and I’m hoping that Mr. Cold reappearing will help keep the calm. But Dr. Crow’s, uh, children? They do not ascribe to any sort of hierarchy or commonality. They’re basically feral, and having lost their father, they are running absolutely rampant.
The worst of his progeny is, of course, Mrs. Felt. Mrs. Felt has been known to cause problems in the past, though usually, Dr. Crow was quick to stop them from doing any serious harm. Not because Dr. Crow was a great guy but to keep authorities and Indigos from getting too involved in his operations. While most of Crow’s more heinous experiments were lost when his house was destroyed, Mrs. Felt mostly lived outside of the house. And now there’s no one to stop her. I don’t really want to pay her tab in full. Yes, she’s dangerous, but she didn’t choose to be this way. I’m going to see if Hamilton’s mother has any ideas about what can be done and what’s best for the area.
