Americano is right. We need to keep smiling, and we need to keep our friends close and our customers closer. To that end, I think we should check in on Mistress. She's been operating in L.A. since at least 1995. Now with Padre out of the picture, she's probably going to start making moves to control the entire area. Why? Well, I guess that's what we need to figure out. You'd think she'd be satisfied with her Pomegranate Pie, but maybe one slice isn't enough. That, or something about the area is enticing enough for not one but two Big Bads to take an interest. Four, I suppose, if you count everyone hanging around. In fact, that only leaves Maeve, Shamu, and Fly on the bench. Wonder why that might be.
Regardless, we have a score to settle with Mistress. While I doubt she had anything to do with the Fire, she certainly knows where the Poet ended up. Assuming he would be so lucky as to end in her pie shop. Though if he didn't end up down her way, that's valuable information too. I doubt he took up an order of Scrambled Eggs, Deviled Eggs, Assorted Fruit, or Grilled Salmon. I could, of course, see him taking Eggs Sunny Side Up, but if that were the case, Galao would have already taken that tab. Oh, and yeah, there's also Century Eggs on the menu, but no one ever orders those for obvious reasons. I suppose it'd somehow be the Poet if anyone were to order them. Though, again, Red Eye would've already been on it.
So, all that to say, I think we're settled on Pomegranate Pie for the time being. Sure, it's a bit sweet for breakfast, but it's all that's left. There is a chance that Mistress doesn't even know who she has over for breakfast yet, but she's sure to find out eventually. Unless she's too distracted with whatever she's up to state-side. While there's little we can do to invite the Poet back over to the states, tracking him down is a top priority. The sooner we can convert his order from Pie to Eggs, the better. We don't need Mistress having that kind of bargaining power.
