CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM 9/09/17

MANAGER 26

RECEIPT: MRSSTEVENS06

STATUS: OPEN

Breakfast for Mrs. Stevens has been served. No juice. No small-talk. Just OJ. Mrs. Stevens enjoyed the meal. About 20 minutes after she left her plate, it was swarmed with flies. It seems that the flies are linked to death and consumption in some way. That certainly points towards a specific region of Ottawa. Flies have never been a part of her previous records. This confirms that the pest problem is linked to Mrs. Stevens as well. Either Mr. Diptera or Mrs. Stevens put the flies in her soup to avoid paying the tab—that won’t work.

After around two hours, most of the flies left her dishes alone. We were able to capture a few flies to make sure they weren’t just made of rubber. They’re real American flies—not Canadian. Same as the other flies. We gave them a quick dip, and the results were equally as illuminating. Loss prevention is not my area of expertise, so we’ll wait for 17 to show up to deal with the potential dining and dashing Mr. Diptera, though we have seen no signs of other customers in the area besides Mrs. Stevens. As mentioned, walk-ins have been non-existent, and reservations are slow.

What we’ll do now is prepare some fresh juice for Mrs. Stevens. We’ll attempt to serve her brunch tomorrow. It should be a light meal. I can’t remember if she prefers jazz or small talk. My gut says jazz. I’ll have my Family assist with our Brunch service, as 3113 might still be too wet behind his ears. It should be a good learning experience, though. If 17 gets here earlier than expected, she’s welcome to assist as well. Expect our receipts by the 11th.

That’s all for now.

-Manager 26.
