Looks like I’ve got a special service tomorrow night with No. 7! …Oh, and No. 116 and 611, too. While we’re out serving Mrs. Vanderdecker on the Hudson, there’s another London Fog drinker I’d like you to check on, No. 1124. Whoever’s been lurking around the subway is still down there, and we need to serve them so the subway workers can finally sleep easy.
Normally, I’d send No. 7 to dig up more info for you, but since we’re both tied up, this one’s going to fall to any employees still here. I think No. 62 was planning to see if he could hack into the subway security system to check if the customer’s shown up on any cams. Unlike your first “solo” case, this one might be a bit more dangerous. We already know this customer got a little too cozy with you before, and I’m not sure you should be down there alone again.
That said, if we can get a solid read on this customer, the service should be pretty easy. One thing I’ve come to appreciate about London Fog orders—they’re clear and straightforward, once we know who we’re serving. If No. 62 can pull the footage and you’re sure who it is, I don’t see any harm in sending you down there solo. I mean, you’re not going to get better at serving coffee by sitting around all day. No. 53 gets a pass because, well, she’s earned her hipster glasses and flannel shirt—or whatever the Barista equivalent of wings is.
What’s the worst that could happen? …Again?
