That’s another month down! And actually, a pretty successful one. Everyone’s been killing it with our new London Fog drinkers. No. 7 was able to get us more information on what kind of customers we can expect, which helped No. 116 serve Mrs. Eastman in Central Park. No. 611 also got us out of a sticky situation with Mrs. Vanderdecken by the Hudson River. And… against all odds… No. 611 did, in fact, get Mr. Odom to pay his tab—both with us and at One if by Land, Two if by Sea. Plus, No. 1124 has been doing an awesome job handling some solo cases!
With all these London Fog drinkers, we’ve also gotten some unexpected customers, like Mrs. Stoker over in New Jersey and Mr. Wells, who we ran into on the subway. It seems like both of them came to the States thanks to M.K.’s unauthorized addition of London Fogs to our menu. If we can’t shut that down soon, I suspect more and more customers will keep showing up for London Fogs—and maybe other drinks—as they get displaced by this surge of steamy Earl Grey.
However—we’ve figured out where M.K. first started selling the London Fogs: 112 Ocean Ave. About an hour away from the Cafe. I’m not sure if No. 0 already knew that when he set us up in Long Beach, or if it’s just a happy coincidence. Knowing him, he probably had a hunch, but wasn’t certain.
Next month, we’ll need to head over there and see if Miss 112 is interested in making a reservation at the Cafe and Diner. Well—not like she has a choice. We’ll serve her and M.K. whether they like it or not. Speaking of M.K., he hasn’t been around in the States, at least as far as we can tell. Long Beach has been keeping an eye out for him, and Palm Beach even went to his front door—he wasn’t home. Makes me wonder where he’s hiding…
