Right, well, I can’t say I fully trust Mrs. Stoker not to cause a scene, but I reckon she ain’t doing much harm just hangin' around. According to her, Ottawa’s gotten a bit too violent for her liking, and I might even agree with her on that. Things ain’t going well for the Corpse Reviver drinkers lately, especially for those unfortunate enough to be outside Mistress’ mighty ol' walls. So, in that sense, I can sympathize with Mrs. Stoker’s desire to stay Stateside for the time being.
Honestly, it might even be nice to have a few more folks around that we can call family—especially family loosely tied to M.K. and his schemes. Sure, Mrs. Stoker’s extended kin ain’t likely to work with us directly, but they don’t need to in order to help us gather some dirt. Now, I’m not sure how feasible it is for Mrs. Stoker to write home to Ottawa and see what’s going on back at their "Manoir," but I reckon we’d be mighty grateful for any comfort food they can cook up for us. So long as it ain't too bloody or the like.
That being said, I want to make it crystal clear—if tourists start showing up drained, chewed up, with those double puncture marks on their necks, Mrs. Stoker’s gonna be the first we serve up. They can claim that all they crave is the odd late-night boogie dancer or some other unwanted Ottawan that wanders our way, but there’s a hunger in them that I reckon can’t be fully satisfied. And we sure as hell ain’t lowering them down to a "Mr." That’s for certain. Still, I reckon we’ve worked with worse before. Hell, we just got out from under Muldra’s golden thumb. A few family-like bloodsuckers ain't nothing—so long as they keep away from the tourists, what have you.
