A bloke can die but once, eh, twice really, given the circumstances. Our trip to the Corpse Reviver Distribution Center went just as good as it could’ve. Sad to say, there might only be the two Langleys actually there, but we know where the next two are, and it seems they’ve taken up sipping on Hot Chocolate. As luck would have it, we needed to take a trip to restock on Hot Chocolate anyway to “acquire” a particular payment.
With the two new stones, plus Abner’s, we have officially secured seven out of the thirteen. Thankfully seven is just enough to actually stop and contain our lumberjack problem. However, getting him off the sauce and back on the tea will require all thirteen. I know it seems drastic, but why not just have good ‘ol bed ‘n breakfast chart him a private flight? Well… it seems that forces are working in multiple directions, ensuring that is not an option. Got shadows, colds, and spiders, seemingly ensuring Bart is untouchable. They all want the stones, and this is how they THINK they’ll get them. We have a plan well in place, don’t you worry.
Anyway, it was… nice… to see Nikki. Uncomfortable and awkward but nice nonetheless. Really helped to have all of us there. And I must say, seeing the work she’s done and the work she’s doing… it takes a little more of the sting away. ‘Course you can’t love a corpse, can you? I think it’s well enough time for me to move on. But I’m leaving the drink behind. And the cockney schtick. Consider it me finally growing up.
Oh, right, Seth! Seth handed me a sealed letter addressed to our newest hire, No. 71. Seth said it was of utmost importance and could help turn the tides a bit. I must say, I’ve been tempted to open it since I got it. I also guess Seth didn’t get the memo that we switched our 17s and 71s around, but I should be able to run it to No. 71 tomorrow.
