One crisis averted… and I won’t lie, I’m almost itching for another. Don’t get me wrong—I’m not looking to rock the boat more than necessary, but our Daiquiri distributor has just opened her factory for a tour. We got to know who she was, but that’s only half the puzzle, isn’t it? We need to see what she’s become. I’ve been mulling it over with the other Managers, my staff, and even the miscellaneous Indigos who, for some unknown reason, actually enjoy getting their coffee from our store. And the consensus?
It’s not a bad idea. We’ve collectively been to every other region of Ottawa. Some of us, like No. 2 and No. 5, have literally backpacked from the lowest point of Ottawa all the way to the top—and then some. Part of what gives the Cafe and Diner their edge is our familiarity with our northern cousins. Even the Indigos tend to watch and observe Canadians from afar. And yes—there’s risk in traveling to Canada. But sometimes, the risks are what make it kind of fun.
As it stands, all hands are needed to deal with Miss. Janos, Miss. Fitch, and Miss. Cece. I certainly wouldn’t want to jump into a new part of Canada without No. 116 or 611. Plus, I believe No. 6 needs No. 161’s help as well. But after we serve the newly renovated Open Doors Church—what’s next? We can’t really stop Willow DeWeaver by stopping Padre, right? So, it’s something I’m looking into. It'll take me and No. 7 quite a few late nights together (darn…) to get this comfort food ready. Right now, I'm only planning on taking my Cafe—but I know I'm not the only one curious to see what remains of Eden.
