Small, but important, addendum to yesterday's receipt. It would seem that the Long Beach Cafe is being... repossessed. It would seem some of our debts have indeed come due, and we don't "own" the Cafe anymore. Not like when uh, what's his name, Mulder-something bought the Cafe. It's not a matter of share-based ownership of the 8's Holdings company. We just don't own the physical location anymore. Which… puts a weird wrench in our operations here in Long Beach.
Now we haven't been immediately kicked out. We've probably got a month to get our stuff and get out. Padre Santos is currently too busy with his Canadian affairs to care who is or isn't in his former abode. Or current abode, I guess. I'm not even totally sure he cares all that much about the church, but things have definitely started shifting back to how they were in the '90s. Thankfully, No. 26 and 44 have offered up their home until we can find a more permanent base of operations. Not very practical to sell coffee out of a residential, though.
With Padre possibly looking into reopening the previously closed Open Doors, one has to wonder who will be in his new parish. Miss… or is it Mrs? Uh, Umbra, in any case. Umbra's probably out. Busy with the whole M.K. crusade. Which means Mrs. Aka's out too. Safe bet Mrs. Pleasant would probably be on board if asked. And let's be frank, Mrs. Pleasant is a good get for Padre. And I'm guessing Miss. Cece is now on his good side too. If he's trying to recreate his "Dark Triad" motif, that leaves one more unknown. So, while we are in the process of moving, I think it'd be a good idea to snoop around the church while we still have the keys and see if we can't get a step ahead of Padre.
