”So you think not eating cat food is putting on airs?”
As your resident number two of the TriCaD in charge down here, I welcome you patrons old and new. From what I understand, the team up in New York has been airing out our old dirty laundry to you for quite some time. So I'm sure you must be a bit familiar with the Florida team by now. Though, obviously, it's changed a bit since the days of the Dark. So I figured I'd introduce ourselves, as it can be easy to lose yourself in a sea of numbers.
So, our branch is located in sunny and hellish Florida, around Palm Beach. You probably could piece that much together, huh? We're working out of the original Cafe that Florida used to work out of, though it's received a few upgrades since then. Our primary focus is to serve drinks with a smile and hat. Hats and haberdashery, in general, are very important to us, if not our theme.
Our managers, 4, 5, and 6, make up what is lovingly referred to as the "TriCaD" or three that became one or just the triple 8. I don't know. They've had a lot of names. 4, 5, and 6 work just fine, though. They each share one third, of one eighth, of the Mantle of Eight given to them by Nicole Langley before her death. She split it up like a long time ago, around 2005 or 2006ish. And they've been a three-part 8 ever since.
4, previously known as Big Guy to the Floridians and briefly as 26 for the 3rd Cafe, is a really big guy. Just a hulking mass of muscles. I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to say here about him, but I can say he grew up in a very... fast food friendly household. It's actually where he met 5 & 6. Not on great terms either. After escaping his upbringing, he used the skills he learned to serve the Cafe and Diner's customers. He primarily focuses more on the C than the D, if you catch my drift. He's an animal lover and avid hunter. Usually, he smells like pine trees.
5, previously known as The Manager to the Floridians, is pretty easy to spot. He types with a very fake cockney accent. He also speaks with one, but I've heard his real posh-y accent come out when the coffee boils over. While the cockney thing is fake, he is actually British. He used to work for the IRIS Co., and most of his family still does. He hopped across the pond as part of an Indigo Exchange program and ended up staying here after a fast-food operation went wrong. On the plus side though, he is really good with haberdashery due to that fateful night. Usually, he smells like Absinthe. Though he hasn't been on the sauce as much since his GF, uh, died.
6, previously known as HR to the Floridians, is a literal bundle of joy. She's very into crystals and fortunetelling and things like that. She was also born into the same family as 4 though they had some... uh... interesting ideas about what her role in the family should become her 18th birthday. They really wanted her to SACRIFICE a lot more than other members of her family. If you catch my drift. Thankfully, she got out along with 4 thanks to 5. Usually, she smells like incense and tea.
As for employees, you have me, No. 71. I used to be part of a triad myself, though it kinda fell apart, unfortunately. I started working for the Cafe and Diner with the 3rd Cafe; you might know me better as 224. Speaking of, our current 224 used to be the New Guy to the Floridians. He is the cutest and 100% the most real genuine human boy you will ever come across. He's also a polyglot which is neat. Only takes him about 30 minutes to learn a language. Then there's 422 who used to be Quality Control to the Floridians. 422 is a sly one but fun to have a drink with. He probably knows the most about haberdashery, but it's hard to get him to talk. He's usually more concerned with nonsensical material pleasures. 512 is our lead on the graveyard shift. She joined us back in 2020, and her general info can be found in HHS in the Otherworldly Archive. And then there's 1313, our rhyming wordsmith from the 3rd Cafe. She's a strange one, but then again, I think all of the Palm Beach is a bit odd. Comes with the territory.
