I think… I think I will still attend Padre’s “special” service in four days. Not that I don’t massively appreciate the work that everyone’s done to make it, so I didn’t have to, especially No. 512, but I think I need to. If I don’t go, I’m sure Padre would just find another way to get what he wants, and if this was his plan A, I don’t want to see his plan B. Besides, I’m starting to, like, think about my place in all of this a bit more. Padre is a bad, awful, horrible man, but he is also my uncle. I can’t avoid him forever.
Don’t get me wrong, though! I’m not just going to be giving in to his demands, of course. I just need to play the part. And if I can play the part well, maybe I can put a stop to his plans entirely. Of course, I don’t really know exactly what he wants me to do. He hasn’t said, at least not in a straightforward way. It’s my “touch” he needs. Right now, I’m thinking, if he wants me to do something similar to what M.K. had me do… I can try and divert it. Well, sort of. It’s not like the easiest thing in the world to do, but it’s worth a shot!
Though I don’t think Padre wants me to open up another specialty drink. Why would he want to do it over Corpse Revivers if he did? It’s sort of already taken. I mean, there could be multiple side drinks tied into Corpse Revivers, but it would be especially unstable. For our specialty drinks to work, they need to be anchored to our core menu. Apple Juice goes with Coffee with Cream, Red Wine with Hot Chocolate, Amazake with Orange Juice, Ichor with Green Tea, and Mead with Ice Water. If Padre was planning to use my powers in the same way that M.K. did, I feel like it would only make sense to do it over Snake Oil. Then again, I guess that’d be off the table, huh?
