Looks like I’ll have a chance to put my theory to the test sooner than anticipated. What theory? Well, that’s currently between me and the other Managers, choice? That coffee is still piping hot, and I wouldn’t want to burn anyone’s tongue off with it. And while I am fairly certain this will work, I wouldn’t mind a bit of cosmic confirmation. So if any of our more forward-thinking staff could check in on it, that’d be aces. 6 is already in on it, but for the rest of you, just think pieces of 8, yeah?
Hell, I’ll open the floor to everyone on this. If you are a patron, customer, friend, whatever, who has a strong sense of, well call it “intuition” on these kinds of things, I could use your help. What do you make of the following passages?
A: “When shall we three meet again in thunder, lightning, or in rain?”
B: “Within the circle of this light two figures sat at a table - one with his hat tilted slightly, and one leaning sideways in his chair in a careless sort of attitude. They seemed to be playing cards, and they were strangely white - for they were skeletons.”
