Hey, everyone. So, uh—surprise. I work here now. Mercutio too.
For those who don’t know me, name’s Max. Formerly Agent Maxixe of Division TANGO. Long story short, certain “higher-ups” (though lower on the alphabet chain) weren’t thrilled with me sneaking hidden phrases into the first and last words of every sentence in a certain briefing I distributed to the Cafe.
Not that I was planning on sticking around anyway. Timing just… lined up. So… sue me. Well—actually. Figure of speech. Please don’t actually sue me, Alfa. I think we worked out a pretty solid agreement. Not, to be clear, a “go spy on the Cafe” agreement. Can’t say much more than that, but Jean-Marc, Jenni, Jackie, and Jericho know everything. They trust me.
Hopefully, you all can too.
In fact, Kyle’s the one who roped me in. We go way back—high school, art class, bad decisions. Ashlyn was in our grade too.

Still processing that one. Not really sure how to talk about it yet, but… yeah. I’m sorry for your loss. Ashlyn… and everyone else too.
Speaking of high school connections—Zach, Jenny, I remember you two. You were a couple years behind me, but I doubt I’ve changed much. Less government-issued gear these days, more flannel. Hopefully, we can all work well together.
As for me? Pretty laid-back. Outdoorsy. I’d rather be hiking than dealing with bossy customers and finicky espresso machine nonsense, but hey—we can’t all get what we want. Sometimes life just pulls you into an inescapable direction.
On the bright side?
Spending time in TANGO means I’ve got a lot of useful contacts in the Coffee Trade. If we ever need to talk to someone outside the usual circles, I can probably make it happen. I… also made sure I took my fair share of office supplies before I left.
