Whatever. Seriously. I’m not “scared” of Aka. I never have been. He’s always been a washed-up loser, follower, wannabe, creep. No wonder Umbra is his BFF. I’m pretty sure we all just agreed that I’m in charge, right? So, I’m going. I know how to deal with Aka. And if you think my eye means anything, it doesn’t. At this point, it’s just cosmetic anyway. You know what? You guys don’t even have to go. I’ve got this. We need to pack for the Keys anyway—so figure that out while I check out the Reformed Krome Asylum.
Besides—we don’t even know that it is actually Aka. Sure, the bloody eyes are kinda of a dead giveaway, but Aka isn’t the only customer who can do stuff like that. And even if it is Aka? Right now, we’re just serving him a cappuccino. Like I already said, there’s a good chance he’s done playing Umbra’s little games. And if he is a free agent now, honestly, what do we care about what he’s doing at Death’s Door clubs? Leave that to Mistress or, like, Weyer to deal with. But we need to clear it regardless. I need to clear it.
So, I’ll check it out, ON MY OWN, and let you guys know how it goes. That’s an order, by the way. If Aka is still involved, I won’t be babied by all of you because of it. Besides, I don’t think the Manager needs to spend any more time at the Reformed Krome Asylum, Last Sunset, Dead End Valley, or Big Daddy’s Deadweight. He parties enough as is. Big Guy needs to prepare for Perez’s service, nets, cages, whatever. And H.R. is pretty vulnerable to unauthorized cocktails. Not that Aka is known to use them, but Umbra is and I wouldn’t want to put her in that situation. Me, on the other hand? Umbra’s never been able to serve me a drink I couldn’t handle.
