He'll come around. I know he will. I was once like him. It takes time to adjust to the ebb and flow of the Coffee Trade. Some customers may seem more pressing than others, but every coffee sold, every tab settled, and every debt paid all add up to something… greater. Something that is hard to put into words, but I assure you, Manager, is always worth the trouble. I know I came off… bull-headed the other day. But I was being genuine. You can stay and help or head back to the Cafe and prepare for the Dark. Both things need to be done.
As for Perez's service, I believe everything is just about in place. Due to Perez's nature and his ability to find his way around Ottawa, we don't need to be terribly specific about which airport we use to send him home. As long as he ends up in Canada, he'll find his way to where he needs to be. Of course, if I had all the time in the world, I would prefer to save him the trouble. However, I can tell the Manager is getting antsy about returning to the Cafe, and we do have greater tasks at hand.
Tomorrow we'll serve Perez his Affogato around Sugarloaf, where he was last spotted. Based on a few tourist accounts, he may be looking for something a bit stronger… a Mocha, perhaps. Still, I wouldn't worry much about Perez. Even in the worst of temperament, he is at his core a loyal and loving customer. A stern voice, an extra bakery treat, and slow and steady movements are all it will take to get him home. Sugarloaf leads out to Levi's region, which may be spot on… or a bit on the lower side.
