Well… it isn’t great, is it? Aka and Florida were able to complete their body for Aplut, and it seems they successfully brought Aplut back. Now, Aplut is part of the Dark—in mind and in body. In my opinion, Aplut is way, way worse than Umbra ever was. Of course, Umbra is no slouch or anything, y’know? But Aplut… Aplut allegedly has some sort of bastardized version of the Eight. A Negative Eight. Beyond just that, Aplut clearly has some sort of doom and gloom that follows wherever they appear, a literal manifestation of their given name.
We… we weren’t able to stop them. We weren’t able to get ahead of them. Hell, even if we could’ve, there’s no guarantee they would’ve fallen for our plan. My plan. It was… it was misguided. My bad. Though, what else could we have done? Push into Ottawa and find their accomplice? That feels like it would’ve ended up worse than just Aplut gaining a physical form. Umbra and the Dark have been hellbent on bringing Aplut into their ranks and even if we did succeed with my plan… I guess it might not have helped much in the end, anyway.
All we can do now is look ahead and figure out how to stop Aplut—or at least minimize the damage she causes. She is a she, I think. There’s been some confusion due to how she came about, a mixture of Lucy and the original Owner—but what Payroll and I saw was definitely a young woman. Plus, she called herself “Jeanne.” Maybe what we need isn’t a physical means of stopping Jeanne, maybe… I don’t know, maybe there’s something more psychological we could exploit. Her body may be perfect, but we know her mind—her inner construction—is deeply flawed.
