Clear your schedules, Palm Beach. Tomorrow is going to be game night. Our current Barista has generously offered to act as “Story Master” for a game of Shadow Story. Hopefully, by playing Shadow Story, we can better understand Gemini. Additionally, it will be a great way to blow off some steam and relax a bit. Everything does not need to be doom, gloom, and the Dark all the time. I think it will be a most beneficial experience.
Now, I understand some employees may beg to differ. Well, that’s too bad. It’s already been decided. I expect to see The Manager, Big Guy, H.R., Payroll, and of course, our New Guy there tomorrow. Games are fun, yes, but they also can be quite educational. It’s 50/50 either way, as I see. Either Umbra knows about Shadow Story, or he doesn’t. You should always take 50/50 odds. It’s better than ignoring the obvious Unseen and Unheard in the room. Worst case, you might just have some fun. If you check, your CaDCom’s Barista has sent each of you a Character Sheet and a brief overview of the rules and an outline of the campaign.
To give a brief recap myself: In the world of Shadow Story, “Teams” are often formed to provide services and tasks for government bodies and citizens. You will be taking the role of Team Dark Brew from the rainy isle of Shallowgrave off the coast of Dire. The Demon King has called on your services to investigate a usurper to his throne, “Dumbra the Devious.” It seems that Dumbra has found a way to control the legendary, and quite deadly, Unseen and Unheard. It will take the work of Team Dark Brew and their Fire Caller, Druid, Maledict, Cartomancer, and Water Caller, along with a mysterious Miracle Worker, to defeat the Unseen and Unheard and stop Dumbra’s devious plans.
Sounds fun, doesn’t it? Eh, you don’t have a choice either way. So, make the most of it.
Yours in a critical success,
Minus 12
