And thus, our trip to our Ichor Distribution Center has drawn to a close, did we win? Did we lose? Who really knows. I suppose, at the end of the day, we made off with the final fragment after our rather horrific stay. Despite our groups being cleaved in twain, we were able to successfully navigate this new and otherworldly plane. One half ended up in the Miss. Alec’s den, the other sent down a road I would never look back at again.
Though our fates were seemingly split, we were reunited after some slight conflict. We had the helm held close in hand, but it turned out Quebec had another plan. As if it were written in a play, we could not leave Quebec without finding the proper way. Light work for No. 7’s strange ink, and when all is said and done it gave us quite a bit with which to think. At the very least, we know that any future trips to Quebec must have No. 7 on hand to pay the check.
So, now we return from whence we came, except without true joy but a buy-out of shame. Despite all of our hard work I fear our prize will end up in gilded hands, with certainly sinister plans. I suppose there is nothing we can really do unless we intend to mount a coup. While I wish we wouldn’t have to bend to the whims of a number two, I hope No. 0 has thought things through. In any case, I can close out this receipt and we can begin to plan our next moves when next we meet.
Though… I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m exhausted.
