#44 / Americano / No. 44B / No. 2
The coffee-crazed (literally and figuratively) one and only, Valet of the Cafe and Diner. With his playlist I wanted to capture his out-of-this-world intellect and eagerness to believe in the unknown. His genres are, admittedly, all over the place, just like him, though I know his favorite genre tends to lean techno, so I did what I could. Collectively his songs explore themes of alienation (ha), communication, rebellion and toward the end, surrealism.

Sorry, but I don't recall the crime
My memory has left me behind
May have been a man, maybe a friend
Or maybe aliens
I'm an expert in my field
UFOlogy, yes, it's all real
Ancient aliens, it's all true
I'm an expert just like you
I have had it if I let myself float
With my mind twisting erratic
I might feel you through the static
I'm trying to cut down on my caffeine consumption
So when I get up I just have one cup of coffee
And I like to have another cup of coffee with my breakfast
And on the way to work I like to get a cup of coffee
Everyone knows
The secretest code of mine
They'll tell all my friends and
They'll tell all my enemies too
Come with us
And leave your Earth behind
Bright and clear
We see the light
All universes at your side
Please lead us to other suns' warm light
In me, the scientist
Always stuck on always trying this
I try to live on science alone
Analysis and freaky sensitivity
We've gotta live on science alone
Invaders must die
When I said take me to the moon
I never meant take me alone
I thought if mankind toured the sky
It meant all of us could go
Believe me, darling
The stars were made for falling
Like melting obelisks
As tall as another realm
