[Cycle: SNOW PRIME]

[Barista: Peppermint]

[Subject: Static Snow]

Aight, seems like word’s gotten around since we tied up the Phantom Host receipt, and the Cafe’s old patrons are trickling back in. Kind of… I don’t know. It makes my heart ache in a funny way. I don’t know these people, but they think they know us—or, at least, the version of us they remember. But the truth is, that version is long gone. And let’s be honest—we’re not sticking around here forever.

I guess, in the end, it doesn’t make much difference, does it? If we’d never come to Snow Prime, the Cafe would’ve stayed empty. And once we leave, it’ll just go back to how it was. How it was meant to be. Damn. Makes me wonder—how many Cafes do you think have died out there? If the Universe is infinite… it’s gotta be infinite, right? Damn.

Anyway, this latest patron was looking for some comfort food, too. And this particular dish comes with a side of déjà vu. Strange broadcasts have been popping up all over Hollywood. Not quite The Late-Night Show with O.B. Nex strange—that was its own disaster. No, this feels more like Channel Zero. The midnight signal. Whatever it is, it’s spreading. Families reenacting old sitcoms. Buildings morphing into period-appropriate sets. And everything—everything—is “going out,” according to her. Like the tracking’s off, the world’s gone fuzzy, colors bleeding into static.

Snow’s Quisby.

I think he’s been here too long, and this whole Cycle is starting to come apart. Think about it—Snow’s whole deal is that he’s made of the bits and pieces that get lost. But here? In Snow Prime, nothing gets lost. Everything is archived, catalogued, stored away. The singular streaming service (must be nice) here has everything that’s ever been produced. But there’s too much. Way too much. And now it’s all slipping away—getting swallowed by the static. Back home, we’d get 500, maybe 700 movies a year. In Snow Prime? That’s a week. It’s all just noise. Static. And I’d bet my last cup of coffee that Snow’s Quisby is at the center of it all.
