I mean, that sounds kinda cool, doesn’t it? The Ascension-Whatever? I’m in. If you need someone to go undercover at Flurrdo’s Frozen Treats, I’m 110% on board. Make that 120%. Sure, Cherry made it sound like a bad thing, but wouldn’t it be useful if I could pull off some Miracle-level hat tricks and cocktails for our customers? Or… am I just really susceptible to joining cults? Huh… Well, anyway, I’m down! Especially if they’ve got matching uniforms.
For real though—if it comes down to it, I’d join a cult. I’ve been in tons before! Fun cults, fake cults, multi-level marketing cults, cults for lost early 2000s video games, cartoon-character cults—actually a lot of cartoon character based cults. If Flurrdo’s Frozen Treats can finally, finally give me the powers I need to bring all my very real and very loving goth girlfriends to life? I am 130% in.
For really-real though (I feel like I’ve been getting off track…), I actually know someone who used to work at Flurrdo’s. Well, kind of—he was with Mina’s Fast-Food first, then got pulled into Flurrdo’s when Mina’s shut down. But once he saw what was actually going on over there? He dipped. Whatever Ciel’s doing to make his Americans A S C E N D is apparently super bloody, gross, and heavy on the “transformation” part. Wasn’t for him.
But…
Could be for me? Maybe? I’m keeping an open mind. But before I go and join another cult, we should probably talk to my friend who defected. He’s on his way up and should be here in… a few days? He wasn’t super specific.
