We got Warden back! That’s one of our more significant problems sorted, and now we just need to get Joy back, and then…
Then what? I mean, sure, there are a couple of different things we could do. We could put a stop to the Bingo Cult. We could deal with Willow DeWeaver and her missing sky. We could, I don’t know, get involved in the big final battle between the Bird and the Debt. But… what should we do? Really? I’ve been thinking about it over the past few weeks, and I think I got way too ahead of myself. I thought that once everyone was back together, it’d be pretty obvious what to do next… but at what point should we just call it quits? Flip the open sign to closed?
Of course, it shouldn’t be my call what we do or don’t do. We’ve seen how that goes way too many times. So, I’d like to hear everyone else’s thoughts, if you have any, but I’m starting to think we should just get Joy back, and then… I guess we should enjoy the time we have left together. That sounds… bleak. But should we really keep inserting ourselves into these grander cosmic affairs? Nine, Dover, Warden, the Angel, Daichi, aside, of course. But, I mean, do any of you really want to keep playing this stupid game?
Actually… speaking of Dover… Maybe that’s what we could do with our remaining time? I know Brent and Dover have made a lot of progress on bringing Victoria back. I know they have a new hypothesis, though if I understand it correctly, it’s a rather risky idea. Not risky in the sense that someone might get hurt or killed… but it might undo everything that is, was, and could be the Cafe and Diner. But… to save Victoria?
It could be worth a shot, right?
