What’s up, Cafe nerds, Max here. You guys really couldn’t go a full year without making another Cafe, could you? I guess this isn’t exactly a “Cafe,” but it sure feels like one. I sort of assumed with your Biggest Bad defeated and miraculously killed, you’d all have taken some time off like Jenny and me. Are you all allergic to downtime, or…? It’s just wild to me that you’d all reach the end and then decide, “well, looks like we’ve got even more coffee to sell.” Sure, I guess someone has to do it, but I don’t know. I only worked there for a few months, and I was ready for an extended vacation.
And it was quite a vacation! Jenny finally stopped being weird and just asked me out. Or, let me rephrase that: Jenny stopped being weird about her crush on me. She’s still plenty weird. And unlike the rest of you, we both wanted to get away for a bit and recharge, so we decided to marathon every National Park we could. Is that a high-commitment adventure for a new couple? Maybe, though, it’s not like we really had lives to return to post-Fate. We still have… oh, 25 or so more parks to go. So… I don’t know if we can really help…
Just kidding. Of course, we’ll help. I don’t think I could keep Jenny from a reunion if I tried. And don’t worry, I won’t mess with the Archives this time. My Astorian mindset clearly didn’t mesh with your Cafe sensibilities. And from what I’ve heard, that is doubly true, as you somehow forced the entire Division Zulu out of the Agency? I’m both impressed and a bit terrified. The Agency at least kept them on somewhat of a leash, so I can only imagine what they’re getting up to on their own.
