LEO03 - Amber Ingram

[Unpublished Zodiac File recovered from the Fourth Cafe and Diner.]

It’s funny because it’s the weed number and the sex number.

That’s it.

What? You wanted a “serious” Zodiac whatever? Fine, fine, fine… Hmm… well, you know, Meme Magic is a thing, right? I’m not just an uber cringelord for the fun of it. It’s for the fun of it AND the unlimited POWER that memes provide. Eh, truth be told, I’ve never quite got the “hang” of Meme Magic myself. Maybe I’m allergic to magic in general, or maybe I should’ve started with something more foundational like sigil work, or maybe Meme Magic really only works on a very large scale?

Anywhozzle, Meme Magic is pretty much what it sounds like—it’s the hidden power of memes. If you just swap memes for sigils, honestly, you get the idea more or less. It’s the power of putting unconscious thought into images and symbols to manipulate the fabric of reality. If a single little sigil can do sooooo much for one neckbeard, imagine what one single little meme can do when shared and repeated by an unending army of NEETs!

To be fair, comparing Meme Magic to sigils isn’t quite right. The proper term is Egregores or Waking Magic. It’s the idea that non-physical entities (such as funny cat pictures) can awaken a thoughtform in the masses, shifting their emotions and subconscious energy. It’s probably still too early to really say whether or not Meme Magic is a valid form of Egregores. There’s not enough evidence yet, and there is a very thin intersection between coincidence, superstition, self-fulfilling prophecy, and, you know, like actual Fate.
