Something strange is happening. Not that it isn’t always strange around the Cafe and Diner, but this… this is a new level of strange. Whatever M.K. did to put London Fogs on our menu seems to be tearing apart the very fabric of the Coffee Trade. I mean, steamed tea outselling coffee? That’s just… horrendous. And at the center of all this strangeness is our newest employee—No. 1124. The Palm Beach Branch needs to take a closer look at both the situation—and at them.
So far, the Palm Beach Branch has had little success finding what we’ve been searching for in our Corpse Reviver-fueled mornings. There’s something hidden in the ink-black before dawn that continues to elude us. We’ve found plenty—but not a single trace of anything “Morbid.” We’re starting to fear that M.K. is more than just a shadowy figure—he’s truly a ghost, pulling the strings of this whole after-affair from far away in the background.
In a sense, No. 1124 has already ventured into the deepest, darkest brews. They’ve already tasted the cold, all-encompassing black ichor that sits at the bottom of a well-worn mug in a quiet, empty diner. But—we’d like to take No. 1124 back. Back to where they first got involved in the coffee game. Back to where they saw Miss. 112, M.K., and the final Regent of Padre Santos. Maybe with their help, we can finally find what we’ve been searching for. And with the door to the London Fogs “closed” in New York, I don’t see the harm in bringing No. 1124 down to Florida for a bit. If they’re up for it, of course.
That’s all for now… and see you soon.
