C-HOH-003

//CaDCom Receipt System v4.0//

Barista: Mikey Jenkins

Date: Dec-8-2019

Receipt: C-HOH-003

Subject: House of Horus

Wahoo—we’re in. Well, I’m in, at least.

Managed to tap into a backdoor in the House of Horus’ HATHOR database on the ███████ ███. Don’t ask how—just know their security is not as tight as they think it is.

Maybe they got cocky. Maybe they don’t think anyone’s stupid enough to poke around. Maybe—and most likely—██████ didn’t bother investing in security. Either way, I’m in. And I can start pulling files.

Of course, like always, anything I pull from other ON systems is going to be heavily encrypted. Best I can do is format the data so we can crack it if we figure out the correct key. Unlike our receipts, our competitors usually don’t leave convenient little clues for us. Usually. At least I can get us close to the keys. Usually.

For HATHOR specifically, it looks like every key is:

  • Exactly ███ ██████████ ████
  • Contains at █████ ███ “█”
  • Includes at least one ██████ ██████
  • Has a “█████” ██ ██ (whatever that means)

At least knowing there’s always an █, I can start placing that into the key to help us out.

Same deal as before—anything the CaDCom catches, flags as interesting, and can actually be decrypted will show up in the database under the “M” designation. If anyone wants to take a stab at cracking, have at it. Otherwise, I’ll keep digging and see what else I can scrape from their system before they notice.

And, as always—read everything they say with a sip of coffee. Nothing’s free. And no one knows that better than ██████. Anything the CaDCom can access? Might just be a seriously bitter cup of coffee.
