And that takes care of Mrs. Jejune. Again. Hopefully for the foreseeable future. She’s given us more than enough grief over the past year. Though, knowing her, it’s probably just a matter of time before she stumbles back into our Cafe reeking of a Slim Jim Fizz.

I hate that we can’t really settle her tab in full, but… it’s not really our job to keep her in check, is it? Still, I’m guessing shutting her down here in Snow Prime probably puts a damper on her business back home, too. At least for now. Of course, if what our guest said is true… the “Spiral” isn’t something that can be stopped entirely. It just keeps turning and turning, reshaping itself over and over.

Oh—speaking of our guest! I should probably mention that we have someone new in the Cafe. I guess you could call him a customer? Though we don’t really need to serve him. Still, now that Peppermint’s back, I know he’d love to brew one of his famous drip coffees for him.

Our guest was at the heart of Mrs. Jejune’s Spiral plan. Against his will, of course. She was using him like a battery to fuel her big “rewriting” scheme. From what we’ve pieced together, she found him floating aimlessly somewhere in Mexico. He has no idea how he got there or what he was doing so far south. Just another mystery to add to the growing list.

But those are puzzles for another day. Right now, we need to figure out how to get back to our original Cycle. Our guest has a few ideas about that, though they’re… not exactly the safest or most comfortable options for us squishy human baristas.

The shards still seem like our best bet. Unfortunately, Complexico’s prize shard isn’t as helpful as we hoped. But if Snow’s Static Shards are scattered all over Snow Prime, doesn’t it stand to reason there might be some of our shards lying around here too? Maybe that’s just wishful thinking, but I can’t shake the feeling. Anyway, the good news is that Mrs. Jejune’s long-running tab has been paid for now. At least temporarily. And for tonight, I’ll call that a win.
